A formidable talent arrives on the scene
Our inbox gets more spam than a WWII mess hall.
But one recent missive stopped us in our tracks. The sender was one Heather Goldberg, a fresh-faced fashion ingenue with an Otis degree and Band of Outsiders stint to her credit. She’d just launched a new line, Haber. Would we care to take a look?
A few swift clicks of the mouse later we were officially in love. The fledgling designer’s debut capsule collection is wise beyond her years, at-once hauntingly ethereal and girlishly luxe (think Mazzy Star meets the Rodarte sisters). During a visit to the Haber studio in Silver Lake, we got up close and personal with the expertly draped silk frocks, fetishized details (vintage glass buttons, velvet-lined pockets), and gauzy silhouettes.
When we heard that local boutique TenOverSix had scooped up Goldberg’s line for spring, we were hardly surprised.
She’s one of our all-time favorite mystery meets.
Available by email order (firstname.lastname@example.org), $350-$3,720. Preorder at TenOverSix, 8425 Melrose Avenue, at North Croft Avenue, West Hollywood (323-330-9355 or shop.tenover6.com). To see styles, go to haberforever.com.
